You can call or send me an email to arrange an initial consultation. During that meeting we'll explore some of your goals and figure out if it's a right fit. Once we decide, we can arrange for ongoing therapy sessions which typically range anywhere from weekly, biweekly, or bimonthly. Otherwise, I can help guide you to other therapists or resources to meet your needs. I am also available for consultations, evaluations, talks and supervision.
Policies & Fees
Consistent attendance is necessary for both clinical and financial reasons. Psychotherapy is a significant investment and requires a commitment by both the client(s) and therapist. Continuous interruption gets in the way of the therapeutic process and impedes the required fluidity.
Once we agree to work together, I reserve that time for you and will not schedule anyone else. With that said, Life happens, and there will inevitably be unforeseen circumstances - illness, family or work crises, as well as planned vacation time that will get in the way of getting to your scheduled appointment time. My cancellation policy allows for 2 missed sessions per year. You will be financially responsible for further missed sessions which we are unable to reschedule. I do not participate with any insurance company. However, most medical insurances will cover a portion of the fee for individual and group mental health treatment. The number of sessions covered, as well as the actual percentage of my fee offered varies significantly across insurance companies. I advise a person to check in with his or her insurance company to see what their particular policy covers. My invoices include all the information required by the insurance company to process a claim.
I reserve some of my time for pro bono and/or sliding fee cases. Please feel free to inquire about this if needed.
Payment is expected in full after each session. I accept cash, check, VISA and MASTERCARD.
